ZT Rooibos Red Tea

Like most natives of the famously hot and humid southeastern United States, Doren Scimeca Nixon, her mother, Judy, and aunt Deborah consider iced tea a staple. But they'd always thought of the beverage as something that contains lots of caffeine and has a bitter, tannic aftertaste.

Until they tasted rooibos red tea, that is.

It was love at first sip. The distinctive flavor of red tea- smooth, full, and complex-intrigued these women. And once they learned of its interesting story and many healthy attributes, they were determined to not only introduce red tea to their friends and family, but also find a way to blend and bottle their own version of this naturally exotic beverage. And in 2007, in their home city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, they did just that, by joining forces and founding ZredT.

ZredT produces a line of delicious, antioxidant-rich organic teas made from the rare rooibos plant.

Available in Unsweetened, Lemon, Vanilla, and Ginseng & Honey flavors, ZT is sold in individual 16-ounce bottles in select grocery and natural food stores throughout the U.S. Founded by a mother/daughter/trio in 2007, the company is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
